Machine guns were one of the main weapons that killed people during World War 1. There was a total of 12 World War 1 machine guns that was in the military factory. The military factory was a factory that would make weapons for the military. Underneath this it will be machine guns used in different countries during World War 1.

Poison Gas was a weapon by being launch hear armies and sending up smoke or gas which would kill or hurt soldiers. The reason why poison gas could kill or hurt a solider is because of the chemicals in the gas or smoke that goes up. There was about 124,000 tons of gas were produced by the end of World War I. With all these chemicals being used in the war they had to use mask to protect the soldiers from getting gas in your body and killing them. There is a picture underneath this article of a mask that soldiers used during World War 1.
Flamethrowers were used during World War 1 as a weapon which would shoot out flames from a tube connected to a pack which is were fire comes out of. Flamethrowers could light people on fire and melt them because of the heat of the flame. Flamethrowers were also used as a tactic to have the battlefield be burning so that the rival soldier wouldn’t be able to pass. There was a bad thing about flamethrowers though, Flamethrowers would easily be blown up while being used because of poor engineering, the flame would be brought back inside the tube into the flammable substance on the back of the soldier. Which means the soldier holding flamethrower would die and people close by him.
Grenade Launchers are also a weapon used during World War 1. Grenade launchers help soldiers shoot grenades longer distance than when they throw grenades. So say if they are a half mile away from an army and you wanted to hit them with a grenade you're better off shooting a half mile than throwing because its almost impossible throwing a grenade a half a mile. Once the grenades hit the ground though it would kill many people near it and if you were close enough and didn't die you would get severely injured.
New Tactics
Trench warfare is a tactic used during World War 1. Trench warfare was not really a good tactic because there were rats that would bite the soldiers and give soldiers a disease that would kill and hurt soldiers. Also there is a thing called Trench foot which is a disease which would be on your foot by standing in dirty water in trench's and standing for hours there. needed a doctor to observe soldiers feet to make sure they don't have trench foot. Also the way a trench would be attacked is that about a hundred men ran into machine guns and barbed wire. The way a trench was defended was that men would stand all along the trench, and shoot at the men running towards them. The defense system was 5 times better than the attacking system.
Tanks are one of many tactics used during World War 1 and could be sometimes a weapon. Tanks were good for Offense and Defense by having heavy armor around the tank which can help the army get closer to the army they are facing in war and protects you soldiers better. It can be a weapon too because there is weapons on the tank. Such as large-calibre is the main gun in a rotating turret and the secondary weapon is a machine gun.
